Phish Files Suit To Stop Lot Merch

It isn't news, but Phish's lawyers are at it again. They've been filing similar injunctions against John Doe individuals and corporations, then using the injunctions to seize lot merchandise and disperse capitalists from the lots, since 1994. But this most recent salvo has received fiery media attention, a first, possibly because it was filed by a Richmond firm and may threaten plans by a local baseball team. And, the Pilot Online reports, this iteration claims that "unauthorized merchandise sales 'threaten' the band's reputation because it relinquishes control over the quality and appearance of the merchandise", an idea criticized by a judge in a previous trial, against Knight T's.
