Sophomore Album From Kottke/Gordon

Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon will follow their superb first release as a duo (Clone - get it!) with Sixty Steps, August 23rd on RCA Victor. It apparently draws on a calypso feel, and was rehearsed in Costa Rica, then recorded (at Compass Point Studios) in Nassau, Bahamas, with Clone mixer David Z. The duo was joined for the sessions by Neil Symonette, described in a press release as "Nassau's uintessential session player and renowned house drummer at Compass Point." The tracks feature originals by Kottke, Gordon, and the duo, as well as covers including one of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion". Kottke, Gordon, and Symonette are currently on a ten-date tour including Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the High Sierra Music Festival.
