MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 155

Welcome to Phish.net's Mystery Jam Monday Part 155! Per usual, the first person to identify the song and date of the mystery jam clip will win one MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. Each person gets one guess per day, with the second “day” starting after I post the hint. A hint will be posted on Tuesday if necessary, with the answer to follow on Wednesday. Good luck!

Answer: Another first-time winner -- @HarborSeal was able to identify the jam played during the 11/16/95 Band Chess Move. Well done!

See you Monday for numero ciento cincuenta y seis.

timkell Judging by the opening bass line, it's either a Bathtub Gin or a Split Open and Melt, but I don't know which one or when!

I'm so confused. Is this typical chess move music? I mean, I've heard the chess moves, but I guess I never paid much attention so it didn't even occur to me to look there... I'm just curious how @HarborSeal pulled this off so quickly! Do you know this particular show well @HarborSeal? Even more impressive if not -- I never would've figured this out. It screamed '94 or '95 AUD to me, and I thought YEM or SOAMelt, which doesn't exactly narrow things down much...

HarborSeal Ha, thanks everyone. I'm a little embarrassed at how happy it made me to find this...

@ucpete: I didn't know the show. I scanned setlists from 95 and 96 for jams where Trey might be on the percussion kit. The kit's mentioned in the notes for 11/16/95. That's how I found it.

That's some great research right there my friends. No idea how you picked '95 and '96 since it sounded so much like '94. Ok, maybe '95.

@bl002e has been killing it with the MJM's. Keep up the great work!

Brilliant work my friend. That's some serious intuition there. Congrats on the win!

Trey's percussion kit appeared in 95, I'm pretty sure.
