mikh2wg Wow, what a jam. Rivals the 4/2/98 Twist.

walstib Wow. That was f'in fantastic.

I haven't been paying very close attention to the forum but I don't recall seeing but a couple people mention the Twist was good. I'm glad this got posted. It deserves its own thread for sure.

ezzy76 Best I've seen in years. They don't always jam for extended periods like they used to. But, oh so polished and still can do it when they want to.

Great, great show. Lookin forward to deercreek.

chrismcguire634 Beautiful, although this extremely deep space odyssey the boys took us on was clearly heading back to the surface by the stripping of effects and playing a simple repetitive blues riff that was filled with anticipation. If they were to bring us back up from the depths they created this twist would rival the epic Twist from the 98 "Island Tour".

alpernda I was there, second to last row of the pavilion, right in the middle. I turned to my buddy and said one of the top jams of 3.0. I didn't think I'd be lucky enough to catch a jam like that the other night.

thebabysmouth veyr reminiscent of the piper jam from the otherwise sloppy 12-30-11 show at MSG. That piper was oozy and beautiful and soaring at times, with Trey throwing these little high pitched loop missiles from the back of the mix. About 8 minute mark on the official Live Phish Twist is where they become really pronounced this time around

Really? I thought that Worcester Ghost was just as fascinating as this jam and part of a better set taboot. I still think that the tour opener's second set and AC 1's second set trump 6/22 even though this Twist is a contender (and likely winner for my tastes) for jam of the year so far.

Star Lake vs AC 1 vs Worcester 1 is a tooth & nail three way death match in my opinion.
