Drummer Jon Fishman was a judge at the http://www.mbird.org/sitg">Vermont Youth Orchestra "Battle of the Bands" at Higher Ground in South Burlington. The winning act, The Manix, won the chance to perform as an opening band at Nectar's in Burlington and an invitation to perform in the Burlington First Night Battle of the Bands. The other judges were saxophone player Dave Grippo and singer-songwriter Amber deLaurentis. (Burlington Free Press)
